At the podium sign into the Chromebox (use your Egan credentials).
On the wall located adjacent to the podium hit the green Power button on the LCD screen. This will bring the projector screen down and turn the projector on.
If you have a meeting through Google meet or any other platform, join your meeting.
For presenting your VM:
Open UP the VMWare app and select HTML from the startup options to sign in to your VM
For presenting your Laptop:
On your laptop navigate to g.co/present. (The Chromebox at the podium must be signed into, and in a meeting available to join from the laptop.)
Type in the meeting code on the laptop, the code is located in the bottom left corner of the meeting.
You can also join through a calendar event instead. To do this click the meet link in the event on the laptop then select companion mode.
Once connected in the Google Meet, share your screen by clicking on the ‘Present Now’ button located in the Meet Toolbar (located at the bottom of the Meet window) then select the presentation mode of your choice (Entire Screen, a window, or just a tab). In order to share audio you will need to share the chrome screen with the video you are playing.
If using the back camera:
To include video of everyone in the room, go to the PC in the back of the room. On the Google Meet window click on the corresponding Google Meet associated with the event OR enter the meeting code to join the meeting.
AFTER Presenting:
Sign out of the Chromebox by clicking on the time and choosing sign out.
To roll the projector screen back up, click the power button that says “Room Off” on the same LCD screen on the wall adjacent to the podium.
AFTER Presenting if using the back camera:
To sign out of the Google Meet on the PC on the back of the room: Hover the cursor over the top right corner of the display. When the Google Meet Toolbar shows up click the “Leave call” button.
Fixing the Camera:
The Midway has 2 cameras that are remote controllable, each remote is labeled. On the remote using the 1-9 keypad you can select the camera angle that works best for you.
