Installing VMware Horizon View Client on a remote/home PC


  1. Open your web browser and go to the address https://vdisecurity10.eganco.com  (notice that there’s an ‘s’ in https).


  2. Once on the website, you will have two options to choose from. Click on the one that says “Install VMware Horizon Client” (option on the left).


  3. In the Download VMware Horizon Clients page click on “Go to Downloads” under the VMware Horizon Client for Windows (DON’T click on the Windows 10 UWP). 


  1. In the Download VMware Horizon Client for Windows page, make sure that the most current version is selected under the Select Version option and then click the “Download” button which will initialize the app download.


  2. Once the app completes downloading click on it, it should be located on the bottom left corner of your screen. If you can’t find it open File Explorer and navigate to your Downloads folder, it should be located there. 


  3. If the “User Account Control” pop-up comes up click on “Yes”.


  4. Click on “Agree & Install” on the VMware Horizon pop-up to begin the installation. You should see a circular progress bar when you do that. 


  5. Once the install completes click on “Finish” when you are prompted.


  6. Click on “Restart Now” to restart your machine. 


  7.  After you restart your computer you should have the VMware Horizon Client icon somewhere on your desktop. Click on it. 


  8. Click on the icon with the plus sign once the VMware Horizon Client app opens.


  9.  Type in vdisecurity10.eganco.com when prompted and then click “Connect”.


  10. On the “Login” window enter your Egan provided username and password and you will be remoted into your computer. From here on out when you click on the VMware Horizon Client icon on your desktop this is what you should see.
