How to change your Default PDF editor

  1. At the bottom middle of your screen click on the magnifying glass icon and in its search bar type “Default apps”, then click on that to open.

  2. Once the window opens up and is populated (can take a few seconds), use the search bar at the top under "Set defaults for file types" and type “.pdf”.
Once you find “.pdf” you will be able to see what application is set as the default to open those files right under it. If the application is set to Microsoft Edge please click on it and choose PDF-Xchange Editor or Revu (Bluebeam).

  3. Once you have selected your preferred PDF editor you might get a pop-up window asking you to reconsider trying Microsoft Edge, you don’t want that so click on “Switch anyway”. Once you do that your computer will freeze for about 5 seconds which is normal as your PDF files are being redirected to open with your chosen PDF editor during that time. Once that's done you can close all windows.
