1. Recording a new greeting on your phone
- Open your Google Voice app
- On the top left corner of your app, tap the "hamburger" stack menu and navigate to Settings.
- Under the "Voicemail" section, select "Voicemail Greeting"
- Press record a greeting
- Press "Record" (Small Microphone)
- When you are finished, tap "Stop" (Small Square)
- To play the recording, tap the "Play" button (Arrow)
To replace the recording, tap "Redo"
To save your recording, tap "Save", you can enter a name for the greeting as well.
2. Recording a new greeting on your desktop
- On your web browser, go to voice.google.com
- At the top right of the webpage, click the "Settings" (Cogwheel)
- On the left side of the page, click "Voicemail"
- To record a new greeting, select "+ Record a greeting" in the top panel.
- Press the microphone icon that pops up to begin recording
- Record your voicemail greeting, then click "Stop" (Small Square)
- Choose what you want to do with the recording.
3. Changing your active greeting
Greetings can be changed by selecting "Manage all greetings" in the "Active Greeting" section of Voice. When you decide which recording you would like to use, you can go to More : > Set as active on the chosen greeting.
